I Egypt in Cairo is a member nation of J.A. the world’s largest and fastest growing organization specializing in economic education in 120 countries worldwide. I Egypt is a non-profit organization empowering young people to own their economic success. Through the delivery of hands-on, blended learning in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship, we empower young people to grow their entrepreneurial ideas, their work skills, manage their earnings and investments, and secure better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Partnering with businesses and educational institutions across the country the I Egypt model is unique in Egypt. It forms a bridge between the private sector and education system by training volunteers from companies to act as mentors in school classrooms. They can transfer their knowledge about the workplace to students, who have limited exposure to the world of business – coaching and guiding them as they learn by doing.
Problem statement: There is a big gap between students and graduates coming from school with the labor market. Often there is a mismatch of knowledge and skills of an individual, and the job they are applying for. Individuals must find out what they really want and what type of job there are most suitable for.
I Egypt works with students and graduates between the ages of 11 and 27, and through our programs students progress from learning work readiness and character building skills, to acquiring financial literacy skills and entrepreneurial mindsets.
Goal: Aiming for skills transfer next to leaving behind materials and methods that can be used in terms of sustainability within the economic education and business skills of young people.
