Our hosting partner Medical Internship & Volunteer Organization (MIVO) was registered in the UK in 2014, but all the projects are based in and around Arusha, Tanzania. They are growing fast and already received lots of health care interns and professionals. They place volunteers at local healthcare and community facilities where they volunteer their clinical skills caring for a group of patients or locals in the community. Mainly the projects are based in hospitals, clinics and referral clinics which are all part of their network of local partners.
MIVO specialises in bespoke volunteer programs for healthcare professionals and individuals passionate about making a real difference. They aim to facilitate volunteering/intern experiences in Tanzanian healthcare facilities and within the community to create the opportunity for individuals from different countries to learn, share knowledge of best practice, discuss areas of mutual concern and exchange ideas.
Problem statement: Global health is a concern amongst most nations across the world. It is important that nations begin by building understanding to share knowledge and areas of mutual concern.
Goal: Share knowledge and share areas of mutual concern. Build and share skills. Create global health partners across foreign nations.
