An opportunity to engage in activities that promote justice, equality, and the protection of human rights within Zanzibar’s communities. This program is designed for students, legal professionals, and advocates who want to gain practical exposure to human rights work, legal aid, and community-based justice initiatives. Interns and volunteers will work alongside local organizations, community leaders, and legal practitioners to raise awareness, provide support, and strengthen access to justice for marginalized groups.
Our Zanzibar hosting partner organization is created in 2007 by the shared ambition of a few local people to provide technical, educational, and hands-on volunteer support to grassroots community projects on the island of Zanzibar, Tanzania, to improve living conditions of its inhabitants.Professional / Academic Fields for Interns & Volunteers in Zanzibar refer to the various areas of work, study, and community engagement where individuals — whether university students, recent graduates, skilled professionals, or passionate volunteers — can apply their knowledge, expertise, and talents while contributing to the social, economic, cultural, and environmental development of Zanzibar.
Problem statement: Too much injustice and inequality
